How stable is it?
In my opinion, it has been stable for a long time now - the only problems that I had encountered in the past were due to bad packaging by the distros. (not on my computer though, since I'm compiling it myself)

The sweet smell of a great sorrow lies over the land
Plumes of smoke rise and merge into the leaden sky:
A man lies and dreams of green fields and rivers,
But awakes to a morning with no reason for waking
But I haven't tested it's packages. I tried those in Kubuntu and Mandriva. Others say that openSUSE has good ones, but that they are applying make-it-look-like-the-3.5-series patches
